Both institutions agreed to appropriately support the members of the partner university and ensure that visiting academics are integrated well into existing research terms and, if possible, provide working space available for them. Students of Mendel-U introduced themselves and presented their research topics in Tourism, Engineering, Forestry, Social Sciences, Food Safety and Security.

The Mendel-U guests along with the GSC Dalawidaw Chorale after the latter’s delightful performance.

Both institutions seek to develop and maintain strategic and global partnerships which will enable their faculty, staff and students to broaden their horizons and enhance their experiences through mobility, pursuing study overseas and through interaction with international institutions. This is to prove that the cooperation on academic activities of the two institutions will strengthen mutual understanding, foster friendly co-operation, upgrade the institution’s standards and hopefully achieve a global standard of educational research.

Giving back to Nature: Mangrove Planting and Coastal Clean-up

In the spirit of Christmas and environmental stewardship, personnel from Guimaras State University (GSU) recently gathered for a mangrove planting and coastal clean-up event at Cabano, San Lorenzo, Guimaras. This initiative, titled Christmas – Giving Back to Nature, reflects GSU’s commitment to fostering sustainable practices within the local community. By combining seasonal goodwill with ecological responsibility, GSU aims to promote a culture of conservation and resilience among its faculty, staff, and students. Participants worked together to plant young mangrove saplings along the coastline, which will contribute to shoreline stability, protect marine biodiversity, and enhance the local ecosystem over time. The coastal clean-up, which followed the planting, involved collecting and responsibly disposing of waste, further underscoring GSU’s dedication to maintaining the health of Guimaras’ natural landscapes. This Christmas-themed activity not only gave back to the environment but also reinforced the university’s vision of being a leader in green technology, innovation, and community transformation. Through this event, GSU continues to inspire its community to give back to nature, celebrating the season with meaningful, lasting impact.
