The Guimaras State College Research and Development Office supports the generation, dissemination, diffusion and promotion of multidisciplinary and appropriate agriculture, fishery, forestry and natural resources, business, health, criminology, information and communications technology, industrial technologies, basic services and education, engineering, arts and social sciences and short term vocational-technical and other continuing courses that may be found to be needed and relevant  to uplift the general well-being of the people and meet the needs of the province and the region. It aims to accomplish the following objectives:
  1. Develop a quality research-based knowledge to improve agriculture, fishery, forestry and natural resources, trade and industrial technologies, basic services and teacher education, engineering technologies, arts and social sciences and other relevant thrusts.
  2. Increase and sustain the generation and transfer of technologically-sound research outputs.
  3. Strengthen linkages with partner institutions, organizations and communities through dissemination and technology transfer.
  4. Establish and strengthen collaboration with local, regional, national and international research institutions and organizations.
