The “Enhancing Business Skills for Kakanin Producers in Buenavista, Guimaras: A Community Extension Project” extension activity was initiated by the College of Business and Management — Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (CBM-BSBA) on March 28, 2023 at Guimaras State University’s ICTO Conference Room, Mclain, Buenavista Guimaras. This was attended by 36 participants.

This activity was anchored on the study entitled, The Local Food Delicacies: Its Supply and Value Chain (Parreño et al. 2013). The purpose of this study was to identify the supply, market, and value chains of the local delicacies and their economic impact on Buenavista, Guimaras, where the majority of kakanin sellers make between 500 and 800 pesos per day from selling their products.
