GSU Holds Oath-Taking Ceremony for Newly Hired Faculty Members

Guimaras State University (GSU) formally welcomed its newly hired faculty members during an oath-taking ceremony held at the Office of the President.

The oath was administered before University President Dr. Lilian Diana B. Parreño, who presided over the proceedings and affirmed the appointments of the incoming faculty members. In her message, she brought to the fore the obligations tied to service in a state university, stressing that work in the academe extends beyond classroom instruction, carrying with it accountability, institutional discipline, and attentiveness to student development and welfare.

Representatives from key university offices witnessed the ceremony, which forms part of the procedural requirements under civil service regulations and institutional policies before faculty members may officially assume or continue their designated duties.

Following the oath-taking, the newly sworn faculty members are expected to coordinate with their respective campuses and academic units in preparation for the upcoming academic term.
