On October 8, 2026, the Monitoring and Impact Assessment Unit (MIAU) started the initial monitoring for extension activity entitled “Simple Selling and Pricing Strategies for IP Community,” conducted at Sitio Serum, San Nicolas, Buenavista, Guimaras, under PUNLA: Program for Uplifting Native Livelihood through Agriculture and Entrepreneurship through IPrenuer: Building Agribusiness Skills for Indigenous Entrepreneurs.

The activity aimed to strengthen the selling and pricing skills of IP community members through discussions on pricing, product presentation, and customer engagement. Instr. Galapin served as the resource speaker and emphasized that selling goes beyond simply offering a product, as it also requires understanding how to price produce appropriately, present products attractively, and engage with customers effectively.

Participants gathered together for a meaningful sharing session on local market experiences and challenges.

During the activity, MIAU documented participant engagement and the community’s experiences in selling their produce. Participants shared the challenges they face, including market competition and unsold vegetables, which often lead them to go around the community in search of buyers or allow customers to purchase on credit. Despite these difficulties, they remain steadfast in their efforts to earn a living through hard work and perseverance. As one community member expressed, “Wala gutom basta gapangabudlay,” reflecting their determination to overcome economic challenges through honest labor.

Following the activity, an evaluation was conducted to gather participants’ feedback on the extension session. The results will help assess the effectiveness of the activity and guide the planning and improvement of future extension initiatives.
