To strengthen Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) systems in Philippine higher education institutions, the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), ASEAN Quality Assurance Network (AQAN), Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Higher Education and Development (SEAMEO-RIHED), and ASEAN University Network–Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) jointly conducted the second leg of the AACCUP/AQAN, SEAMEO-RIHED, and AUN-QA Workshop on University’s IQA Utilizing the AUN-QA IQA Management Toolkit Version 1.3 for Visayas SUCs on August 26–28, 2026, at Cebu Technological University–Main Campus.

Guimaras State University (GSU) was represented by a delegation composed of University President Dr. Lilian Diana B. Parreno; Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Erly M. The three-day workshop featured lectures and discussions on the Philippine higher education ecosystem, the building blocks of the AUN-QA IQA Management Toolkit Version 1.3, and reflections on quality assurance. It also included breakout working sessions, peer-learning activities, and the development of customized IQA action plans for participating SUCs.

The GSU delegation participated in the sessions and workshop activities, sharing insights and engaging in discussions focused on strengthening the University’s internal quality assurance mechanisms and advancing a culture of continuous quality improvement.
