Representatives from Guimaras State University (GSU) participated in the Comprehensive On-Site Orientation on the SUC Faculty Position Reclassification System (SFPRS) held on August 11, 2026, at the Parklane International Hotel, Cebu City.
Representing GSU were Assoc. Prof. Adrian J. Forca, Dean of the College of Science and Technology (CST); Mrs. Ma. Rechel A. Pillora, Administrative Officer V (HRMO III); and Dr. Daisy Ibieza, Community Extension Services Director.
The orientation brought together participants from different regions and provided hands-on guidance on the use of the SFPRS online system, particularly in the uploading and submission of faculty documents and supporting evidence required for position reclassification.
The activity also clarified the processes and responsibilities involved in the review and evaluation of faculty submissions, including the role of the Institutional Evaluation Committee (IEC) in validating documentary evidence and determining the corresponding points based on established criteria.
The SFPRS will serve as the official online platform through which faculty members nationwide will submit their applications, credentials, portfolios, and other supporting documents for evaluation. As the primary institutional evaluators, IEC chairpersons and members play a crucial role in ensuring that applications are assessed accurately, fairly, and in accordance with prescribed policies and standards.
The orientation focused on three key objectives: enhancing system proficiency, standardizing evaluation procedures, and strengthening system administration and data security. Participants were guided through the SFPRS interface and its functionalities, as well as the digital workflow for reviewing, validating, and evaluating faculty applications.
The training also addressed the resolution of common technical concerns, compliance with applicable data privacy requirements, and the importance of timely and efficient processing of applications.
GSU’s participation in the orientation strengthens the university’s preparedness for the implementation of the SFPRS and supports its commitment to ensuring a systematic, transparent, and credible faculty reclassification process.
