Guimaras State University (GSU) formally received multiple recognitions during the 5th CHED Regional Quality Awards held on May 21, 2026 as part of the celebration of the 32nd Anniversary of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the 6th Higher Education Day at the West Visayas State University Cultural Center.
One of the major highlights of the gathering was the conduct of the 5th CHED Regional Quality Awards, which recognizes the undertakings, innovations, and institutional initiatives of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across instruction, research, extension, student services, and other areas aligned with CHED Memorandum Orders and related issuances of the Commission. Partner government and non-government agencies and institutions of CHEDRO VI were likewise acknowledged during the event.
