GSU CST to Hold UBIQUITY 2026: 2nd Student Research Colloquium

Guimaras State University, through its College of Science and Technology (CST), is set to conduct UBIQUITY 2026: 2nd CST Student Research Colloquium on May 18–19, 2026 at The Pitstop Hotel.

Anchored on the theme, “Globalizing Innovation: Bridging Computer Disciplines and Sustainable Development Goals for Resilient Communities,” the two-day undertaking is expected to gather academic leaders, international collaborators, researchers, industry practitioners, and students for scholarly exchanges centered on technology, sustainability, and emerging innovations.

The colloquium will feature participation from international representatives from STIKOM Bali, Indonesia, namely Dr. Evi Triandini, Expert Staff on Cooperation and Internationalization, and Dr. Paula Dewanti, Lecturer, who are expected to share insights on global academic collaboration, information technology, and innovation-driven research initiatives.

Also joining the gathering are academic and research leaders from partner institutions, including Prof. Preexcy Tupas, Research, Development, and Innovation Chairperson of Romblon State University, along with Instr. Dave Lota, Head of the SDG Center and International Relations Office. Representing Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology (ISUFST) is Dr. Renante A. Diamante, Dean of the College of Information and Communications Technology.

Industry and government sectors will likewise take part in the colloquium through Mr. Michael S. Cabugatan Jr., Provincial Officer of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Guimaras, and Engr. Frenz Rian G. Gal, Director of the Intellectual Property Management Office (IPMO) of GSU.

The activity is supported by STIKOM Bali, Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology, the Department of Information and Communications Technology, and the ICT Industry Development Bureau (IIDB).
