Guimaras State University (GSU) added another milestone to its institutional ledger after securing several distinctions during the ROTC Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI) CY 2026 conducted by the 6th Regional Community Defense Group (6RCDG) from April 7 to May 8, 2026.
The citations were formally received on June 14, 2026 by University President Dr. Lilian Diana B. Parreño, together with NSTP Director Dr. Ma. Xy J. Yanguas and Instr. Alfred John G. Borreros, during the awarding rites held at Headquarters, 6RCDG, RESCOM, Philippine Army, Camp Gen. Adriano D. Hernandez, Dingle, Iloilo.
Among the 26 activated Philippine Army ROTC units across Western Visayas subjected to the inspection cycle, GSU posted the third-highest composite rating of 92.80 percent, exhibiting the University’s robust performance across multiple areas of evaluation.

- Best in Administration and Management – Perfect Rating of 100%
- Best in Map Reading – Highest Overall Average of 92.80%
These distinctions speak to the discipline, precision, and organizational rigor demonstrated by the University’s cadet corps, training staff, and NSTP personnel throughout the inspection period.
