The College of Science and Technology (CST) conducted a one-day training on Designing Innovative Solutions: A Hands-on Workshop with Canva on March 14, 2025, at Jordan Central School, San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras. The activity was facilitated by Instr. James Ryan B. Ga and Instr. Loveson C. Gallos.
The event began with a short opening program led by Mrs. Cristita G. Taduran, School Principal II, who expressed gratitude for the initiative and emphasized the importance of digital skills in education and community development. A total of 31 participants were oriented on the objectives of the workshop, which focused on enhancing creativity and productivity using Canva as a design tool.
The workshop aimed to enhance the digital literacy and creative teaching strategies of Jordan Central School teachers. Participants were empowered to create visually engaging and interactive learning materials to improve student engagement and learning outcomes. Guided by Instr. James Ryan B. Ga, teachers applied Canva features such as templates, elements, and text customization to develop their own designs.
The hands-on training allowed teachers to gain confidence in designing creative and effective digital content. It also encouraged exploration of innovative design solutions that can enhance learner engagement and classroom participation.
