The Office of Student Development and Services (OSDS) of Guimaras State University (GSU) held the Student Assistantship Orientation and Seminar-Workshop on October 8, 2025, with the theme “Equipping GSU Student Assistants for Effective Service.”
The activity gathered student assistants from various offices and academic units to strengthen their understanding of university protocols, work ethics, and service responsibilities. It also provided an avenue to align their tasks with GSU’s core values of excellence, integrity, and service.
Through a series of discussions and interactive sessions, the participants were introduced to topics on office conduct, time management, accountability, and professional growth. The orientation underscored the vital role of student assistants in supporting institutional operations and promoting a culture of efficiency and responsibility within the university.
