GSU Holds 3rd Ceremonial MOU Signing with Partners

On March 24, 2026, Guimaras State University (GSU), through its University Community Extension Services Office, convened its 3rd Ceremonial Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing with its partners at the Agri-Eco Convention Hall, Salvador Campus. The activity carried the theme, “Advancing Cooperation through Meaningful Partnerships.”

The program opened with remarks from Dr. Julius T. Vergara, Vice President for Research, Extension, Training and Innovation, who stressed the role of collaboration in extending university services to communities and partner organizations. He noted that partnerships provide a platform for aligning academic expertise with local development needs.

Following the opening message, representatives from the different colleges presented their respective extension programs. The presentations outlined existing initiatives, highlighting areas where collaboration with external partners may be strengthened.

The ceremonial signing of agreements then proceeded, formalizing commitments between the university and its partners. Present during the activity were representatives of both newly established and renewed partner organizations, signifying the continuation and expansion of existing collaborations. The agreements covered areas related to community engagement, capacity-building, and applied research.

Closing remarks were delivered by Dir. Daisy B. Ibieza, Director of the University Community Extension Services Office, who acknowledged the participating partners and emphasized the need for sustained coordination to ensure the effective delivery of extension initiatives.
