On January 28–29, 2026, Guimaras State University (GSU) will be hosting the 1st Quarter Meeting of the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges Extension Managers Council (PASUC–VI EMC), Incorporated, Region VI, at Magic Island Resort Guimaras, Dungcaan, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras.

The activity will bring together extension managers from various State Universities and Colleges in Region VI to discuss key concerns, share best practices, and strengthen collaboration toward the advancement of extension programs in the region. Prior to proceeding to the venue, the participants paid a courtesy call on the University President.

The meeting served as a gesture of respect and appreciation for the University’s leadership and support and provided an opportunity to formally acknowledge Guimaras State University’s role as host institution, as well as to briefly discuss the objectives and significance of the gathering.

Overall, the courtesy call with the University President set a positive and collaborative tone for the 1st Quarter PASUC–VI EMC Meeting. It reinforced mutual support between the host institution and the participating SUCs, strengthened professional relationships, and stressed GSU’s commitment to advancing extension initiatives. This engagement contributed to the success of the activity and further promoted unity and cooperation in pursuing impactful and sustainable extension programs across Region VI.
