Guimaras State University (GSU) extends its earnest congratulations to its newly inducted members of the GSU Board of Regents (BOR): Hon. Jeyson G. Esmaña, Alumni Regent, and Hon. Berlyn May M. Galimba, Student Regent.

Hon. Esmaña was formally inducted into office on July 22, 2025, during the 126th Regular Board Meeting held at Park Inn Hotel, Iloilo City. As an alumnus who has long embodied the ideals of the University, his return to serve in the governing body signifies a meaningful continuity between GSU’s history and its forward course.

Hon. Galimba, on the other hand, took her oath on September 24, 2025, during the 127th Special Board Meeting held at the CHED Central Office, UP Campus, Diliman, Quezon City. Her inclusion marks the vital presence of the student voice in University governance—an affirmation that leadership in higher education thrives when shaped by both experience and youth’s fresh perspective.

Both were warmly received by Vice President for Administration and Finance (VPAF) and University Board Secretary, Mrs. Janet R. Aleman, who expressed confidence in their capacity to contribute thoughtfully to the University’s vision. Their induction into the Board comes at a time of continued institutional growth, where wisdom from the past and vigor from the present converge to guide the University’s strategic direction.

The entire Guimaras State University community, led by University President Dr. Lilian Diana B. Parreño, conveys its highest regard and confidence in the newly appointed Regents, whose service will further strengthen the principles of participatory and transformative governance within GSU.
