On August 28, 2025, Guimaras State University (GSU), through the Office of Student Development and Services (OSDS), announced the opening of the GSU Salvador Campus Dormitory for student accommodation applications.

The dormitory aims to provide students—particularly those from remote areas—with a safe, affordable, and convenient living space within the university premises. With a monthly fee of ₱1,000, the facility offers a cost-effective alternative to nearby boarding houses, many of which charge significantly higher rates.

The dormitory’s establishment underscores GSU’s continuing efforts to support student welfare and access to quality education by minimizing financial burdens and ensuring that learners have a conducive environment for study and personal growth.
