In observance of Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month this May 2025, Guimaras State University (GSU) is actively participating in nationwide initiatives aimed at enhancing public service efficiency and transparency. This aligns with Proclamation No. 818, signed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., which designates May as EODB Month to promote streamlined government services and a business-friendly environment.
Likewise, GSU is preparing for the Nationwide Frontline Service Inspection mandated by the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) under Memorandum Circular No. 2025-01. This inspection, conducted by the Committee on Anti-Red Tape (CART) teams, focuses on evaluating the university’s compliance with the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018 (Republic Act No. 11032).
GSU has organized a series of activities to support this initiative, such as internal audits of service processes and the dissemination of information materials to raise awareness about citizens’ rights to efficient government services. These efforts aim to identify areas for improvement and ensure that the university’s services are accessible, transparent, and responsive to the needs of its stakeholders.
As the inspections unfold this May, the university reasserts its stance as a diligent contributor to the broader national thrust for an accessible and corruption-free government service ecosystem.
