Dr. Rhea Joy Flora was among the seven distinguished recipients of the IDLAB Merit Award 2024. The award, presented by the Regional Research, Development, and Innovation Council (RRDIC), was given during a ceremony held on November 5, 2024, at the Iloilo Convention Center in Iloilo City.

Dr. Lilian Diana B. Parreno, President of Guimaras State University, attended the event to support Dr. Flora and to express pride in the university’s representation on the regional stage.

This prestigious recognition celebrates Dr. Flora’s outstanding contributions to agricultural research. Her work has significantly contributed to knowledge of soil fertility management, organic agriculture, and solid waste management practices.
