Guimaras Celebrates Civil Service Anniversary with TREE Growing for a Greener Future

Rain or shine, nothing can stop us from participating in the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary Celebration. The CSC Guimaras Chapter, in collaboration with DENR Guimaras, the Province of Guimaras, and other stakeholders, held a meaningful “Tree Growing for a Cause” event on September 17, 2024, in Barangay Tanglad, Sibunag, Guimaras. With the theme “Malasakit sa Kalikasan, Malasakit sa Lingkod Bayani,” the activity highlights our shared responsibility for the environment. Guimaras State University was also present in full force, with volunteers from the GSU Human Resource Office, the GSU DRRM Office, and other dedicated participants joining hands to plant trees. Together, we celebrate our commitment to preserving nature and recognize the vital role trees play in combating climate change, improving air quality, and conserving biodiversity. Tree planting is not just an act of environmental stewardship—it is an investment in the future. Each tree we plant today helps restore ecosystems, protect wildlife, and ensure cleaner air for generations to come. Let us continue to work together and take action. Our collective efforts, no matter how small, will create a lasting impact on the planet’s health and sustainability.
