Empowering Wellness: GSU’s Fitness for Life Symposium Inspires Zumba Members to Embrace Lifelong Health

Guimaras State University (GSU) recently held the Fitness for Life: Symposium on Fitness Awareness and Management at the Buenavista Municipal Auditorium, aiming to empower members of the Zumba Wellness Club. The event promoted holistic health and fitness, tackling issues like sedentary lifestyles, poor dietary habits, and mental health challenges.

The symposium, organized by GSU’s College of Arts and Sciences in collaboration with the Zumba Wellness Club, featured experts in fitness, nutrition, and psychology. Speakers such as Dr. Ervin L. Isogon and Prof. Khristian T. de la Rama guided participants through fitness fundamentals, proper diet, and stress management.

Participants also engaged in dance fitness sessions led by Dr. Elishama Jepphunee D. Isogon, combining fun and effective workouts. The event emphasized lifelong fitness practices, helping participants set realistic goals, develop personalized workout plans, and embrace healthier lifestyles.
