GSU-CST Conducts Symposium on E-Talk Etiquette Expedition: Promoting Quality Education through Digital Citizenship

On September 29, 2023, Guimaras State University – College of Science and Technology (GSU-CST) held a successful symposium on E-Talk Etiquette Expedition at East Valencia National High School in Brgy. East Valencia, Buenavista, Guimaras. The event attracted around 200 teachers and learners, emphasizing the critical role of responsible digital citizenship in promoting quality education as outlined in Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4).

The symposium commenced with an opening spiel by Dr. Collins M. Natividad, the School Principal, who underscored the importance of this initiative in empowering participants to navigate the digital world responsibly. By fostering a safe and respectful online environment, the event aimed to equip individuals with the necessary skills to enhance their educational experiences and contribute positively to their communities.

Instr. Divon G. Tamdang served as the resource speaker, leading an engaging discussion on digital citizenship and netiquette. He defined digital citizenship and provided practical tips on responsible technology use, which are essential for creating inclusive and equitable learning environments. The audience was actively involved, posing questions and seeking clarification on various aspects of digital interactions.

In recognition of their contributions, Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to both Instr. Tamdang and Dr. Reiner Jun G. Alminaza. The symposium concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Rhea Millaro, Master Teacher II, and a photo opportunity with the speakers and teaching personnel.
