The College of Business Management (CBM) of Guimaras State University (GSU) recently conducted a specialized Hospitality Skills Training focused on Table Centerpiece Making. Held on September 15, 2023, in Navalas, Buenavista, the workshop provided aspiring hospitality professionals with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in creating elegant and visually appealing table settings.

Participants explored essential principles of aesthetic design, including color theory, floral arrangement techniques, balance and symmetry, and the innovative use of materials. The training emphasized the importance of theme coordination, sustainability in decoration, and budget-friendly centerpiece creation, ensuring that students can apply their skills in diverse hospitality settings, from casual dining to high-end banquets.

The workshop was led by industry experts and experienced faculty members, who guided participants through practical exercises, live demonstrations, and interactive discussions. Students also had the opportunity to showcase their creativity through individual and group centerpiece design challenges, fostering innovation and problem-solving skills.
