Victorias City, Negros Occidental – Guimaras State University (GSU) has once again proven its dedication to excellence as it triumphed at the 2023 Regional State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (RSCUAA) Games, which took place on September 10 at the Victorias Sports and Amusement Center. The event gathered student-athletes and administrators from State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) across Western Visayas for an opening that set the stage for fierce yet friendly competition.

Guided by GSU’s esteemed University President, Dr. Lilian Diana B. Parreño, the university’s athletic program has flourished, thanks to her vision of not only developing students’ athletic prowess but also enhancing their educational journey. Dr. Parreño’s unwavering commitment, along with the support of Vice Presidents, other key officials, and dedicated coaches, has fostered a robust sports program at GSU, shaping well-rounded students who embody both academic and athletic excellence.
