The training was spearheaded by Dr. Ma. Amihan T. Panes, an accredited Department of Tourism (DOT) FBSE Trainer and former tourism and hospitality educator and industry practitioner. This initiative aimed to equip students with essential values and skills to prepare them for future careers in the tourism and hospitality sector.

Throughout the training, participants engaged in discussions on key topics that emphasized service excellence and cultural values. Topics covered included:

The 7 “M’s” of Filipino Values, The Heart of Service Recovery, House Resolution No. 408 – “Bating Filipino”, and DOT Brand Promise: “It’s More Fun in the Philippines”.

The FBSE Training served as the launch event for the THM Skills Olympics, organized by the GSU Hospitality and Tourism Students (HosTS) Organization. The event focused on enhancing students’ creativity, passion, and expertise while improving their skills and knowledge.
