He highlighted the advantages of this new approach over traditional fish farming practices and emphasized its promising return on investment. The Method, developed through scientific research, was introduced as a sustainable and profitable alternative for local fisherfolk.
The second speaker, Prof. Rhea Joy Flora, Director of the Mango and Tropical Fruits Research Center, provided insight into recent research developments on mango and tropical fruit farming. She shared findings from studies conducted by the center, encouraging farmers to adopt modern agricultural techniques to enhance productivity and sustainability. Her discussion was met with positive responses from the participants, many of whom expressed interest in applying these innovations to their own farms.
Following the presentations, an open forum allowed participants to ask questions and seek clarifications. The exchange of ideas facilitated a deeper understanding of the topics discussed, fostering engagement between experts and the local agricultural community. The event concluded with the awarding of certificates of appreciation to the participants in recognition of their commitment to learning and development.
