The MOU Signing Ceremony between Guimaras State University and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Guimaras Provincial Office was held on May 11, 2023 at the Guimaras State University – Salvador (Main) Campus, Mclain, Buenavista, Guimaras.

The collaborative partnership is, thus, initiated to mutually and more effectively promote the culture of knowledge sharing and learning among local government units and other local governance stakeholders. The DILG Guimaras Provincial Office and GSU agree to jointly undertake capability building programs, research and development, and knowledge management initiatives thru the activities of the Guimaras Local Governance Resource Center (GLGRC).

Completing the MOU Signing formalities, Dr. Lilian Diana B. Parreño – University President, represented the Guimaras State University together with Dr. Julieta G. Infante – Vice President for Research, Extension, Training and Innovation, while Mrs. Roselyn B. Quintana, CESE – Provincial Director, represented the DILG Guimaras together with Mrs. Anna Carolina D. Cardiolin.

The MOU took effect upon its signing by the parties and shall continue to be in force as long as the signatories are in office, unless sooner revoked or renewed for another term.
